Aramco and Lanxess both owned 50% of shares in Arlanxeo (350 employees), a manufacturer of synthetic rubber in the port of Antwerp (Belgium). Aramco pays 1.4 billion euro (for 50%) to become the full owner of  Arlanxeo.

Aramco is the largest oil company worldwide (turn-over 2015: 318 billion $; 65200 employees in  year 2016) and aims to expand it’s business vertically with the acquisition of manufacturing facilities for oil based chemicals.
