The Thomas Cook Group is a London based travel company listed on the London Stock Exchange. The group own tour-operators, airlines and hotels. It operates more than 200 hotels (40000 beds) and which are commercialised under different brands for different market segments (Casa Cook, Cook’s Club, Santido, Sun Connect and Sunprime).
Together with the real estate group, LMEY Group, Thomas Cook invests 40 million euro debt (predominantly from the Pireaus Bank) into the renovation of a number of self-owned hotels and the acquistion of others in Greece, Spain, Turkey, Italy, Egypt and Bulgaria. It is investing 7 million euro in the Sunwing Kallithea hotel in Rhodos and opening a new Casa Cook hotel in Ibiza. Renovation into a new stylish brand will attract new tourists.
